From Gdańsk Airport to the centre — train, taxi or bus?

Mint Apartments · · 2 min read

How to get from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN, Rębiechowo) to the centre: PKM/SKM train, taxi, Uber/Bolt and bus. Times, rough costs and tips.

Frequently asked questions

What's the cheapest way from Gdańsk Airport to the centre?
The train is cheapest. Right by the terminal there's a Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (PKM) station, „Gdańsk Port Lotniczy”, from which you can reach Gdańsk Wrzeszcz and then take the SKM train on to Gdańsk Główny (the centre). That's a handful of złoty for a ticket and no risk of traffic jams. With luggage and children, a door-to-door taxi can be more comfortable.
How long does a taxi from the airport to central Gdańsk take, and how much does it cost?
Getting to the Main Town takes roughly 25–40 minutes depending on traffic. A taxi or an Uber/Bolt ride usually costs 60–100 zł — in the evenings and at rush hour it can be pricier. Booking through an app, you know the fare upfront, which rules out any surprises.
Is there a night bus from Gdańsk Airport?
Yes. Alongside the daytime bus lines, the N3 night line connects the airport with the centre and the main station. It's a budget option when you land late — just check the current timetable, as night services run less often.
How do you get into a Mint apartment after a late arrival?
Most of our apartments have self check-in — an electronic lock (Tedee, Nuki) or a key safe. You don't wait for a reception desk or a host: you receive the code and instructions before you arrive and let yourself in at any hour. Perfect after a night flight.
