How to get from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN, Rębiechowo) to the centre: PKM/SKM train, taxi, Uber/Bolt and bus. Times, rough costs and tips.
You’ve landed at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN, Rębiechowo) and you want to reach the centre — or your apartment — as fast as possible. You’ve got four sensible options — here’s which one pays off when.
PKM/SKM train — fastest and cheapest
Right by the terminal there’s a station on the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (PKM) — „Gdańsk Port Lotniczy”. From there:
- you can reach Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, then change to the SKM train for Gdańsk Główny (the centre, right by the Old Town);
- the ticket is a handful of złoty, with no risk of traffic jams;
- it’s the best choice when you’re travelling light and like a predictable journey time.

Taxi, Uber, Bolt — door to door
Most comfortable with luggage, with children, or after a tiring flight:
- the ride to the Main Town takes roughly 25–40 minutes;
- the cost is usually 60–100 zł (the apps show the fare upfront);
- the upside is being dropped right at the apartment door — no hauling suitcases along platforms.
Bus — the budget option
City buses run from the airport during the day, plus the N3 night line to the centre and the main station. It’s the cheapest way, though slower and with changes. Good when you’re not in a hurry and want to save.
Car hire — only if you’re planning the Tricity and Kashubia
